Wishbone Ash is one of those super famous bands that I've yet to listen to, and I finally did it today.

I can't help but thinking about Iron Maiden. Wishbone Ash's' twin guitars style certainly had a massive influence on them.

Merry Go Round

Song of the Day #2: Merry Go Round - 失楽 (2004)

The 2nd song of the day is... "失楽" by Merry Go Round!

Merry Go Round was one of the pioneer of what we known today as "Nagoya Kei".
Overall, their sound were comparable to 黒夢 (Kuroyume), a band from the same era and region. However, there is one thing that makes Merry Go Round unique as a visual band: Unconventional songwritng.

Some of their songs can be slow, brooding and bass-heavy, paired with a jangly(?) guitars and expressive vocals. Sometimes they'll go straight up experimental, like industrial.

Deadman, whose vocalist used to be a roadie for the band, popularized this "alternative"-sounding visual kei style in the 2000's.
