A pretty cool premium F2P-Gacha-esque game. But...
>Unreal Engine 5
Hnggg...

Also, I need to buy another mouse.

DUDE, Steam just delivered another MASSIVE W.
Double-W, in fact.

  • Steam Wishlists now support Categories & search by Tags (e.g. Hentai)
    • My wishlist is pretty close to 1k. So, this is handy!
  • And the biggest update, personally: Cross-region gifting!
    • I've always wanted this. For the past 10 years, I had to go to the 3rd party store, or even the grey markets, to buy a game for a friend whenever his birthday & Christmas around the corner. No more! 🥳
Thank you, Gaben 🙏🏼

And today is also the release day of Fangs of Asterkarn. I can't wait!

Feeling a little sick, so no updates for a while. I'm good now.

I was supposed to beat Odin Sphere on 20th, but got pushed out to yesterday.
Small thought: It's a good game, but a little too long IMO.
Game's story split into 5 characters, and by the 3rd one, I kinda burnt out. So I decided to turn the difficulty down to easy for the story sake. Even so, it's still clocked around 30 hours. I guess if I continued on normal, it'd have been near 50s with grind. Time well saved.
Overall I liked it. The story & the art style are the game's biggest strength.

I made a Music page. I don't know what to do with it though... 😅

Completed Winter Assault campaign.

No pics, because I'm too busy pulling my hair out! This campaign is still tedious just like I remember.

Winter Assault plays a little differently compared to the OG. For most of the time, you're pitted against 2 races (in some cases, they'll attack your base every minute or so), and given a time-sensitive objectives. To put it simply: Hectic.

I've had enough of this game, for now. Time to go back to Ys & Odin Sphere.

Artist of the day: Bolt Thrower. Who else!?

Completed Dawn of War campaign.

Game's fine, except 1 thing: Shadows.
Just like everybody says, shadows is a MASSIVE performance tank. I had to turn it off, or else my GPU getting cooked.

I don't remember if this issue exist in the original game. I mean, I used to play this game almost 2 decades ago on a crappy 2000s PC... Integrated GPU too!

Artist of the day: Mack 10.

Songs of the day.

  • The Rolling Stones feat. Steve Winwood on piano, Robert Smith on synth & back. vocals, and Bruno Mars on... cowbell? 😂
  • Found myself humming Land of the Free. Nice little nostalgia.
  • Revisiting Atreyu. I wonder why 2007s Lead Sails Paper Anchor is region limited on streaming services.

Tried 7 Days to Die 3.0. (Release notes)

The fact that the biggest selling points of the update is to turns off the game features, ironically made 3.0 one of, if not the biggest update for the game in years. More significant than 2.0, or even 1.0.
Some highlights:

  • Skip intro quest (I've been playing the game for 8 goddamn years!)
  • ...or disable the whole questing mechanics
  • Skill point gain per level (I used to manually edit the XML file)
  • 24h trader (No more lollygaging in the night!)
  • Disable the magazine system
  • Disable zombie rage & digging

I'm trying to experience the game in a different way, and looks like it's not really balanced without mags.

I don't understand why the dev tied schematics with magazine, instead of books.
If you disable mags, you could crafts Tier 6 items or cook Pure Mineral Water, the best drink in the game in day one, making the rest of the drinks recipe obsolete.

I finally bought Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition. Since I owned the OGs, I got $10 discount!
IIRC, the game was a mixed bag when it was released last year because it was a barebone "remaster".
Now that the game has been around for a while, some people apparently unhappy that the dev keeps "nerfing" stuff ever since... 🥴

Website update:

  • Webamp page is live. Let's party!
  • Microblog posts are grouped by date. Topics separated by hr tags.
  • Small palette adjustment, thanks to oklch.fyi and colortones.

Artist of the day(?): Freddie Jackson.

Today's Hangout With Yoo episode is a chaotic mess 😂

  • They did a World Cup special, but then Korea is lost. Thing's a little awkward.
  • Rain. The show goes on.
  • Uninvited guest appears... when the shooting is over.

The highlight out of all is, Kyung-hwan pants got ripped.
And then he covered himself with... a transparent floatie. 🤣

No games, no movies. I'm back working on the website.
New color palette: Red, yellow, and black.
Why? Because some of the dudes I liked known for sporting a blonde hair & red suit! I think it's a very cool color combination.

Other changes:

  • Reverted layout into the previous one.
  • Added buttons into left sidebar.
  • New header, with hamburger menu for phones.
  • Random profile images.
  • Section title with absolute positioning, giving it a "passthrough" effect.
  • Simplified container classes.

To-do lists? Gallery & music pages!
And maybe a button for myself, and a dedicated page for Winamp.

Kagerou is coming to streaming services.
That said, their Spotify page has been around for years. I don't know if that was fake, or an accident by their label. Either way, this time is a real deal.

First update in a while!

  • Completed Conception PLUS: Maidens of the Twelve Stars.
    • Favorite waifus: Ruka, Femiruna, Arie, Alfie
  • 7 Days to Die new update looks massive. Time for another playthrough.

Another summer sale is here.
Looks like Google Play took cues from Steam's deep discount, and now selling games for $0.10! I bought most of them, even though I'm already owned some of the games on Steam. Welp, it's just $1!

I might gonna buy Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition too, and that's it.

Gaming update:

  • Beaten Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (1993)
    • Thoughts on 1993 vs 2007:
      • Overall I found the OG easier than the remake, which is surprising since I don't really plays super retro games.
      • The remake is more slow-paced than the OG, to the point I find it a bit sluggish.
The OG is faster & snappy, as you would expect from a game from that era. But thanks to that, the boss fights are much harder since they're more aggressive.
      • I like the remakes art style & details, especially Richter redesign.
In the OG, Richter was pretty much a trad Japanese guy, complete with a headband! 😂
The remake turns him into a noble gothboy (at least by JRPG standard). It suits him better.
  • Bought OshiRabu: Waifus Over Husbandos, The Riftbreaker, Hell Clock, & If My Heart Had Wings -Flight Diary-

Gaming update:

  • Beaten Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles a.k.a Rondo of Blood (2007)
    • Now I'm trying the original, 1993 one.
  • Beaten Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama 100%

2 movies with cool ending.

2.5 Jigen no Ririsa ending is... shocking. I didn't expected that.
Buuuuut, Mikarin FTW!

Small criticism: I don't like how the author use cases of "Coincidence" and "Correlation" too much.
For example, A is actually X, or B and C are related in a way.

Gaming update:

  • After a few restarts due to bad weapons roll, I finally did it. 100k kills with Impostor Rina!
    • Experimented with Unjust Ejection in the library. Very risque, but works well.
With fully leveled cursed items (skull, box ring etc.) & Infinite Corridor, the vents sucked 250-350 mobs every 3~ seconds!
  • Finished Mercedes' route in Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir!
    • I love how she licked her fingers after eating. Too cute!
  • Bought LIMBO & Neighbours from Hell 1 on Play Store. Less than $1!
  • Wishlisted games in this month Humble Choice: The Riftbreaker, Hell Clock & Overlooting. Will buy on keyshop later.
The chances of OCTOPATH TRAVELER II getting cheap is pretty low. Pass, for now.

Kurenai caught me off guard! 🤣

Let's Go Karaoke! (2024)

WHERE'S THE PRE-ORDER BUTTON!?

Gaming update:

  • Completed Rance 02 -The Rebellious Maidens-!
  • Finished Cornellius's route in Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir!
  • Back to Vampire Survivors. There's a handful of characters from the Among Us DLC that I haven't played yet. After that, I'll dive into the Castlevania DLC.

Winchester '73 (1950)

Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957)

Gaming update:

  • Finished Gwendolyn's route in Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir!
  • My yearly 7 Days to Die playthrough is over. Strength-Fortitude, Club, Shotgun, Machine Gun build.
Ideas for next playthrough: Chainsaw / Axe tools build.
  • Dropped Max Payne 3. Not enjoying it as much as the previous one.
Sluggish gameplay. 2000s Hollywood blockbuster story (instead of classic noir).
  • Wanted to replay Bully (especially the game is 60% off on Steam right now), but it looks like *all* of the game ports (Scholarship & Anniversary editions) are buggy AF. Maybe I'll play the OG on PS3 instead...
  • Added, Red Dead Revolver, Devil Kings & Devil May Cry 4 into queue.

Interesting VN, wishlisted!

The Bell Boy (1918)

Terrible country-wide(?) internet connection made me off PC & coding for 2 days.

Spent my free time playing Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Progress:

  • Completed Sequence 7 (shorter than I thought).
  • Collected all treasures & data fragments.
All I need to do is to finish the Desmond's Journey(?) thing and the main story!

Edit: And I did it!

24 hours. Game's decent. Not too big, & not too long. Mix of all the previous 3 games into one.
We got to see Altair again, smaller scope like AC2, and a gameplay improvement of Brotherhood.

I assume Desmond's story ends in AC3?

T.M.Revolution - WHITE BREATH (1997)
T.M.Revolution - WHITE BREATH (1997)

The comment section is GOLD 🤣

Come to think of it, I remember asking my mom the other day, "Do you know TM?" and she said, "That's the guy who doesn't wear clothes, right?"

You never know what's going on in this world. A skinny guy like this in his 20s can turn into a muscular, hulking bodybuilder in his 50s.

P.S. I need to decide whether to use Photoswipe or LightGallery.
The latter is more feature-rich.

Games update

  • I beat 25 to Life for the second time.
If I had remembered that the game has 11 levels, I would have played it in one sitting! (I means the game is 3 hours~ long.)
I'm familiar with the last stage of the game. How dudes with LAWs caught my ass off guard.
    It happened again today. 🤣
  • I'm almost done with Rance 2! (Stage 4 out of 6)
  • Finally back to Assassin's Creed Revelations, after almost 2 months! (Sequence 07 out of 09)
    • Collected all treasures & data fragments in Constantinople.
    • Sent assassins to reclaim all the remaining cities in Mediterranian Defense(x3)
    Now then, off to Cappadocia!

Almost done with archiving the old content! All that's left is the film section (for now).

Oh, and look above, I got myself a posts filter!
Nifty.
